Júlia Collado Riu kicked off her artistic journey in 2021 under the alias Iris Deco, dropping her debut album Golden — a standout fusion of Soul and R&B that instantly turned heads. Backed by collaborators like Ferran Palau, Jordi Matas, and b1n0, the project introduced a fresh voice with serious range and vision, setting her up as one to watch on the new wave scene.

Beyond her own music, Júlia’s collaborated with powerhouses like Clara Peya, and shared the stage with names such as Arlo Parks, performing in both Madrid and Barcelona. Her sound has also made waves internationally, landing at Berlin’s People & Culture Festival, where she connected with an even wider audience.

Fast forward to early 2024 — with the release of her emotionally charged EP and short film Mai s’ha trencat del tot — Júlia closes the chapter on Iris Deco and steps into her true identity. The move marks a turning point: a bold return to her essence, raw and unfiltered. The short film captures that transformation — intimate, introspective, and artistically fearless.

Now comes her most personal work to date: Z nombre complex. This experimental pop album is a deep dive into vulnerability, growth, and pushing limits. It’s Júlia breaking her own mold, stepping into discomfort, and reshaping it into something magnetic. For the first time, she embraces Catalan, her native language, as the core vehicle for her voice — real, rooted, and resonant.
